Brief Biography
Goals
It
is my goal to provide a welcoming and stimulating learning environment for my
students. It is very important to me to create an atmosphere of mutual respect
and kindness as well as to set high academic standards. In order to have my
students become emotionally involved, we relate what we learn to our own lives,
and I try to build on what the children bring to the classroom. I teach my
students strong reading comprehension skills that enable them to become more
independent learners. Those skills, together with writing, spelling and grammar
skills, are being applied and reinforced in all subject areas. Due to our small
class sizes, I work very closely with every single student and set individual
goals for each one of them. I use a variety of teaching methods and techniques,
such as unit projects, group work, book clubs, computers, graphic organizers,
and educational games.
